Safety First
Safety is our number one priority.
Starting in 2022 the Parade Committee, working with recommendations from the Garner Police Department, implemented driver and vehicle checks and instructions for drivers and vehicles included in the parade.
The checks include confirmation of drivers licenses and only allowing drivers over 30 years old. Vehicle Registration and inspection confirmation. Wide buffers between vehicles and walking participants. Driver emergency instructions, one-on-one review, and comprehension confirmation.
